Who we are

If we had to sum it up, it would be this:

We are a church family bound together by a love for Jesus Christ and a common desire to know Christ and to make Him known.

Of course, we can get specific too. Click each of our core vales so you know exactly where we stand.

Core Values:

  • We believe the Bible is true, that it can be trusted, and that it is our rule for faith and practice. We have a commitment to “defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to His holy people” (Jude 3).

  • Jesus Christ, our Risen Savior, is Lord over all of heaven and earth. He is Lord of our lives and of our church. Therefore, in love and devotion, we dedicate ourselves to the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Where He leads, we will follow.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

    -Romans 6:23

  • Because He first loved us, our hearts long to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Through transformational spiritual practices, such as prayer, Life Groups and daily Bible reading, Bible studies and works of service, we seek to become more and more like Jesus.

“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”

    -1 Corinthians 11:1

  • Our calling from Jesus is to make disciples, who make disciples. We believe the Good News of Jesus really is good news. We believe that lost people really do matter to God, and that eternal destinies are on the line.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”

    -Matthew 28:19

  • God Himself is in eternal relationship – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – One God in Three Persons. The Scriptures declare, therefore, that God is love (1 John 4:8). Therefore, we will welcome all to come and see the Good News of Jesus Christ. We will love one another as a family in Christ, seeking unity in Christ. And we will pursue intimacy with God through daily fellowship in the Bible and prayer.

  • Scripture says salvation is a free gift from God based only on the work that He has already done, through the death of His Son on the cross, and is appropriated by faith. Salvation is effected through acknowledgement of our sinfulness, personal repentance, belief in Jesus, and acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

    -John 3:16-17

  • We seek to be the light and love of Christ in our community and beyond. We want people to see and experience Christ’s love and mercy, and we believe that we are the hands and feet of Christ in this world.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in various forms.”

    -1 Peter 4:10

  • The Holy Spirit is the personal power and presence of God, third person of the Trinity. He gave birth to the Church, and guides and empowers the Church to this day. We will follow the leading of the Spirit, depending on God’s power to enable our ministry.

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”

    -John 14:16-17

  • We believe worship is central to our lives as followers of Jesus, and vital for our life as a church family. As we worship the Lord, we set our eyes on Him, we align our hearts with Him, and we set our hope on Him.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”

    -Psalms 100:4

“God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

    -John 4:24
